Dr Adi Adinugroho completed her PhD in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) at Purdue University, West Lafayette Indiana and received her master degree in special education and her special education specialist certification at Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana. Dr. Adinugroho returned to Indonesia after more than 15 years of studying, working, teaching, lecturing and researching in the United States. She was a tenure track Assistant Professor of Education/Special Education at the University of Hawaii-Hilo before she relocated back to Indonesia and join in Wellness Indonesia. She obtained her bachelor degree in Special Education from the Jakarta State University (UNJ). Went to Stanford university for her teaching certification program. Her research interests include: early intervention and self-monitoring/self- regulation; teaching methods; tests and measurements and alternative school models. Dr. Adinugroho has extensive experience with USA and Indonesian education. Her experiences are including clinical pedagogical & psychology services and both quantitative and qualitative research in education. Dr. Adinugroho received several honorary awards national and internationally including Fulbright Scholar 1999-2001, Outstanding Research Award in Education from Purdue University, Outstanding Graduate Teaching award two years in a row (2003-2004) at Purdue University, CNHA President Award from Ball State University, Above and beyond volunteer of the year 2006 from Indiana Mentor Inc. Dr. Adinugroho currently serves as a director of education at Perguruan Al Izhar, and also serves as an adjunct faculty member of College of Allied Educator and The University of Surabaya (Ubaya) teaches post baccalaureate and graduate courses in Special Education. Her areas of expertise encompass Special Education (Mild–Severe Disabilities) and Gifted and Talented (Dual Exceptionalities), with a cognate area in Multicultural Education. She brings more than 20 years of experience in basic and higher education; clinical pedagogical and psychological services; diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation of cognitive learning problems; including and not limited to educational counseling and guidance.
